How to Make Paper Roses

Novelties and Nostalgia features handmade items, so I thought I would share how to make handmade paper roses.  They are simple and sweet and can be used for many things.  All you need is a square of paper.  It can be any type of paper from card stock to tissue paper. The size of the squares determines the size of the rose.  Draw a spiral on the paper from center to outside edge. Cut out the spiral. Starting at the outside, start rolling the spiral, every once place a tiny dot of glue to anchor it. As you get to the inside spiral roll loosely to resemble an opened rose. Anchor end with glue.  You’re done! —Anita Geiger

Olive It

“Did you know the FDA says that scientific evidence suggests that eating 2 tbsp. of olive oil daily–like Mad Anthony Tea & Spice Olive Oil—(available at the creative shop) may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease due to the monounsaturated fats in olive oil?”—Puttin’ On The Glitz

Skin and Tonic

Exfoliation is a key component to a great complexion. By removing dead skin cells, fresh new skin is revealed and collagen production is stimulated. Topical products like glycolic acid and retinals are great at home methods.  Microdermabrasion and chemical peels are in office treatments that offer a more intensive results. A consultation with one of our Aestheticians at Ada Aesthetics will help you determine what is best for you.
